West Edmonton Playschool is pleased to announce that we are now a "Non-roster" playschool. We have a teacher and teacher's assistant in every class without parent helpers! Please call now to register as we are filling up fast.

WEPS is a parent-run coooperative playschool that has been providing preschool experiences to children in West Edmonton for over 20 years. We are located centrally in the Lynnwood Community League. WEPS continues to offer:

  • small class sizes with both a teacher and teacher's assistant in all of our classes
  • a strong focus on kindergarten readiness skills, with emphasis on pre-literacy development
  • circle times that include stories, songs, pre-literacy skill development and gross motor movement
  • center times that focus on free play and social skill development
  • a variety of play experiences including dramatic play, constructive play, and sensory play (sand and water tables)
  • regular outdoor excursions all year-long and access to an indoor gym area
  • promotion of independence in self-care activities to prepare children for kindergarten

We believe great learning and knowledge can be achieved through even the simplest of play. It is our obligation to aid in developing compassionate and independent youth who are enthusiastic about learning. Through song, craft, book, snack, field trips and make believe we touch all senses and areas of early childhood development. Our outstanding teachers excel at making each day an opportunity for discovery; and they do this by pouring their hearts into what they do...and it shows.
